My Biography
Mr. Wormser was the founder, current President and CEO of C3i©, a premier manufacturing company producing products ranging from high performance digital signal processing applications to high performance antennas and antenna / transmission accessories. C3i© just past its 18 year Anniversary. Mr Wormser sold his company in June, 2006 to devote full time and attention to Talbot County matters and his campaign.

In December 2003, Mr. Wormser left a political appointment position in the Department of Defense. In this appointment capacity his responsibilities encompassed policy and program formulation, oversight, and implementation actions effecting: DoD’s use of the electromagnetic spectrum; space control, space cooperation, and space-based operations to include precision navigation and timing matters; Special Access Program information integration; Unified Command Structure command & control, national security and continuity of government command & control extending from the President to appropriate command authorities; and finally, DoD’s development, exploitation, and deployment of wireless technologies as well as the associated security architectures.

Mr. Wormser entered the US Air Force in 1961. He was commissioned and received his aeronautical rating of Navigator in 1962. He became an Electronic Warfare Officer and instructor in 1964, taught students in this field, and participated in the F-105F Wild Weasel Program (1965-1966) until selected for Air Force Pilot Training.

As a fighter pilot/Forward Air Controller, Mr. Wormser went to Southeast Asia in 1971 where he flew combat missions from Da Nang AB, South Vietnam. His subsequent assignments took advantage of his combined experiences. He was first Military Aide to the Senior US MilRep, NATO, from 1973 to 1975. From 1975 until mid-1979, he was a member of a three-man team directed by the Air Force Chief of Staff, later Chairman Joint Chief’s of Staff, to develop USAF C4I requirements under the Department of Defense “NATO RSI Initiative”. Concurrently, he served in a supporting role on the staff of the National Security Council from 1978 until mid-1980. These assignments were followed by repeated command and battle management assignments in Korea and Central Europe, culminating in command of the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing, Bentwaters, England; then, as his final assignment, Director, Air Operations, HQ Allied Air Forces Central Europe.

Mr. Wormser is a Command Pilot with over 5000 flying hours of which 700 were combat hours in Southeast Asia. Mr. Wormser's awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Bronze Star, Air Medal (with 14 Oak Leaf Clusters), Republic of Korea Distinguished Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Distinguished Service Medal with Palm, and the Meritorious Service Medal (with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters). His recent civilian service award is the Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service.

He is a graduate of the University of Maryland in Political Science and of La Salle Extension University with an LLB in law. Further, he is a graduate of several service schools: culminating with National War College (Class of '80).

Mr. Wormser is married to Julie Susman, they have two daughters and two sons and 5 grandchildren. They reside in Royal Oak, Maryland.
